Meet the Founder

Colette Affaya
Founder – Synergy STEM Recruitment

Colette Affaya founded Synergy STEM Recruitment to strengthen the connection between education, industry and the future STEM workforce.

With a background in education engagement and employer partnerships, she has worked extensively with schools, colleges and industry organisations to support STEM career pathways and workforce development.

Before establishing Synergy STEM Partners, Colette worked as an Education Liaison at Airbus, where she developed partnerships between industry and education. Her work focused on supporting schools, inspiring young people to pursue STEM careers and connecting employers with future talent.

This experience shaped the vision behind Synergy STEM Recruitment — helping organisations identify talented professionals while supporting individuals to build meaningful careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Colette continues to work closely with education providers, employers and STEM organisations to support talent development and strengthen industry–education collaboration.

Alisa Kasradze

Recruitment Consultant – Employers & Candidates

With a background in education, administration and client-facing environments, Alisa brings excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills to the recruitment process. She is passionate about connecting talented individuals with meaningful career opportunities and supporting organisations in identifying professionals who can make a positive impact.

Alisa’s experience working with individuals from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds enables her to build strong relationships with both candidates and employers. She plays an important role in supporting the recruitment process, from engaging with candidates to helping ensure that each placement is aligned with the needs of both the organisation and the individual.

Before joining Synergy STEM Recruitment, Alisa worked in education and business support roles, including providing administrative and coordination support to client-serving teams at McKinsey & Company, one of the world’s leading global consulting firms. This experience strengthened her ability to work in fast-paced professional environments and support high-performing teams.

Alisa holds a Master’s degree in English Philology and is fluent in English, Russian and Polish, allowing her to communicate effectively with professionals from a wide range of backgrounds.

She is also currently training in Strategic Intervention Life Coaching, reflecting her strong interest in personal growth, career development and supporting individuals in achieving their full potential.

Stephanie Bath

Associate Consultant – Recruitment Partnerships

With a career that spans continents and industries, I bring a distinctive, people-first perspective to my role as an HR recruiter at Synergy, a specialist STEM recruitment company. My professional journey began in artisanal food production and sales across the UK and international markets, where I developed a strong commercial instinct, a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, and an ability to connect niche talent with the right audiences.

As the founder of a food tour company, I’ve worked closely with corporate clients and educational institutions, designing and delivering engaging experiences—including GCSE-focused programmes—that bridge industry knowledge with real-world learning. This entrepreneurial experience sharpened my skills in relationship management, client delivery, and identifying individual strengths—capabilities that now translate directly into my recruitment approach.

Earlier in my career, I gained experience in accountancy, giving me a solid analytical foundation and an understanding of business operations from a financial perspective. I also spent time working abroad as a food journalist and as a teacher in international schools, specialising in English and food science. These roles strengthened my communication skills, cultural awareness, and ability to nurture talent across diverse backgrounds.

Today at Synergy, I combine this varied experience to support STEM professionals and organisations in finding the right fit—technically, culturally, and strategically. I’m particularly passionate about helping individuals navigate career transitions and uncover opportunities where their unique skills can thrive.
