Synergy STEM is committed to safeguarding, promoting welfare, and protecting the personal data of all individuals we work with, including learners, candidates, employers, and partners.
Safeguarding Commitment
We recognise our responsibility to safeguard children, young people, and vulnerable adults, particularly where our work intersects with education, training, and early-career pathways.
Our safeguarding approach includes:
A clear Safeguarding Policy aligned with best practice
Safeguarding-aware recruitment and vetting processes
Appropriate escalation procedures where safeguarding concerns arise
Collaboration with employers and education providers to ensure safe working environments
Where roles involve contact with learners, young people, or vulnerable adults, additional safeguarding requirements (including DBS checks where applicable) are confirmed with the employer prior to progression.
Synergy STEM does not place candidates into environments that do not meet safeguarding expectations.

Synergy STEM processes personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and applicable data protection legislation.

CVs, employment history, and qualifications
Right-to-work documentation
Vetting and compliance information (where required for the role)

Personal data is processed solely for:
Recruitment and progression support
Vetting and compliance checks
Employer introductions and candidate submissions
Legal and regulatory obligations
We do not sell or misuse personal data.
Data security
Data is stored securely with restricted access
Information is retained only for as long as necessary

Right to Work Checks
All candidates must demonstrate the legal right to work in the UK before being progressed for employment opportunities.
Right-to-work checks are completed using:
The UK Government online Right to Work service (share code), or
Approved manual document checks where applicable
Checks are conducted consistently, recorded appropriately, and retained securely in line with legal requirements.
Compliance Assurance
Our recruitment processes are designed to:
Meet employer and MSP/RPO compliance expectations
Reduce hiring risk for employers
Ensure ethical and transparent recruitment
Where additional checks are required (such as DBS or reference checks), these are confirmed with the employer and coordinated accordingly.
Synergy STEM does not charge recruitment fees for employers recruiting learners directly from publicly funded Skills Bootcamp programmes. Commercial recruitment services are delivered separately under agreed Terms of Business.
